SCREEN PRINTING SETUP

1. Artwork Charges - We need clean quality artworkclean quality artwork in order to create clean quality screen printing.

2.Velum / Film Printing - Your artwork files get separated into specific colors and EACH color is then printed on to a clear velum for exposure. Cost for these velums run $3 each.

3.Screen Charges - Once the velums are printed Screen Printing Screens are coated with a Photo-Emulsion, dried and then exposed to high output light through the aforementioned velums. The light shines through the part of the velum that was clear and cures the emulsion. We then rinse the screen, clearing out all uncured emulsion leaving a negative of YOUR DESIGN by color. Screens are then taped, inked and set up for printing. Screen Set up costs are $25 per color.

4.Color Changes - If we need to run the job in several different color combination's that will require changing the ink in the screen this process requires that the screen be removed from the set up, ink and tape removed, screen cleaned, de-greased and dried. Then the screen gets re-taped, re-inked and re-set up for the new run. This service costs $15 each time.

SCREEN PRINTING CHARGES

Each jobs cost is calculated based on the number of prints X the number of colors per print. Example: If you had a shirt that required a 2 color front print and a 2 color back print this count as TWO 2 color prints (even thought it is on ONE shirt)

Figure out the number of colors needed to recreate the look you want. Add up the set up charges as defined above and then find your proper color number and print quantity numbers and figuring out your accurate screen printing charges is easy.
